Williamson Creek Constructors JV is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Master Mechanic for a Heavy Civil, Underground Tunnel Construction Project in Austin, TX that is being built by Jay Dee Contractors, Inc., Obayashi, and HB Trenchless.

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Master Mechanic is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, diagnostic, and repair tasks on tunnel boring and construction equipment. Working under the direction of the General Superintendent, this role supports project operations by ensuring all equipment is maintained in safe, efficient working condition.
Key responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy equipment at the project sites. This position may also be assigned additional duties as needed to support operational demands. Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and emergency on-call as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to perform repetitive movements; work overhead; use hands to grasp; reach with arms; stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist; sit, climb, and balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or push, pull up to 50 pounds, work in above and underground environments, including confined spaces and all-weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job tasks, is regularly exposed to vibration, frequently exposed to moving machinery, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and must be able to properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials per MSDS regulations and company procedures, and work in underground confined spaces. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is sometimes very loud. The employee is expected to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area.
